Company History
The concepts behind StatPacks were first conceived on a Las Vegas ambulance crew. As a rookie paramedic, Scott Nelson knew there had to be a better alternative to the bulky, cumbersome "black-hole bags." Within a few years, Nelson was modifying commercial outdoor packs for his own use. By 2001, Nelson was testing full-blown prototypes with the Portneuf Life Flight team of Pocatello, Idaho.

StatPacks was formed in 2003, when a team of expert designers created the first line of packs built specifically for emergency medical professionals, and manufactured for commercial sale. StatPacks remains engaged in the relentless pursuit of safer, more comfortable, more efficient packs. Improving the way medics carry their gear removes a significant obstacle so they can do their important jobs faster.

Packs, Not Bags
A load is better carried on your back than on your side. Not only does this keep you safer from back injury, it also keeps your hands free to help the patient and maintain your balance. Not planning to haul your gear more than 50 feet? The benefits are the same, especially on the way back to the Ambulance with the patient. A balanced medic with a good back and hands free is a fast medic.

Right Sized
Anything can happen. We stay focused on the end goal: getting the patient to the hospital quickly and efficiently. Saving lives depends on a timely arrival at the ER. Follow the ABC’s and keep on scene time to a minimum. Carry just what you need to assist the patient on scene - it will help you get in route faster. The StatPacks Golden Hour was one of our first products to be developed. It is a compact approach to carrying the life saving essentials. Of course, situations call for larger packs, and we make them, always with the attitude of safety and speed.
